Solar in FALL? 3 Reasons Why

 

One of the most frequently asked questions we get is “When is the perfect time to go solar?” And there are a lot of factors that play in fully answering that question. Our go to answer is “Now.” Because honestly, the earlier the better when you go solar. The longer you wait; the less money your house is generating.
Fall is an excellent time to go solar. Here are three reasons why:

1: Tax Credit
The year is winding down, in order to take advantage of the 30% tax credit you have to make sure you’re in contract within the calendar year.

2: Less heat
Around this time of the year, things are finally starting to cool down, which means you can run your A/C fewer hours and not set it down so low. This impacts your energy consumption, and, since the sun is still shining, you are generating credits to be used later.

3: Install Time
Solar installs are at an all-time high, and during the summer, our install team is impacted even more. Not only will the wait time be less than the peak season, it also means city and county inspectors will be more available.
